Barbican to host ‘In Dreams – David Lynch Revisited’ on 20th June

We like it when a well respected arts and cultural centre decides to put on a stellar show that we love the idea of and is very much in tune with our own imagination. The much loved Barbican Centre in London will be putting on In Dreams: David Lynch Revisited which will feature Conor O’Brien (Villagers), Mick Harvey, Jehnny Beth (Savages), Sophia Brous, Stealing Sheep and more to be announced. The show will take place on 20th June and tickets go on general sale Friday 14th March.

There will be instrumental tracks and new versions of songs from David Lynch’s films, performed by a band created and led by musical director David Coulter – last seen on the Barbican stage in Beck: Song Reader Live and Rain Dogs Revisited.

For more information you can check out The Barbican’s website.

Feb 14th – What we played…

Another great night so another post! We were delighted to have Parenthesis Dot Dot Dot play a live set for the night which coincided with Valentine’s night. Tim Benton aka Parenthesis… got us all going with his ode to that song that wouldn’t shift from the Number 1 spot for 16 weeks. For those who have the privilege of not knowing or even remembering it was Bryan Adam’s ‘Everything I Do I Do It For You’. Parennie’s song ’16 Weeks at Number 1′ sums up that national collective feeling of uncomfortable expectancy of never having to hear a Bryan Adams song ever again. Also Parennie did a genius mix of Iggy Pop’s ‘Nightclubbing’ and Madonna’s ‘Crazy for You’ – a one off special for The Black Lodge. It was…Damn Fine. For pop fans, you might like to know that Tim’s previous band Baxendale were all in attendance – it was nice to see you Senay and Alex.
